Centauri Insurance Launches New Private Flood Program in South Carolina
SARASOTA, Florida – December 20, 2016 – Centauri Insurance to launch a new private flood program January 1, 2017. The coverage offers South Carolina homeowners an alternative to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) with rates as much as 15 percent lower along with other significant advantages.
Floods can occur anywhere and account for the highest number of natural disasters, causing millions of dollars of damage in the United States every year. Despite these facts, many homeowners are unaware that traditional homeowners’ insurance policies do not cover flood damage. Flood coverage must be purchased separately through NFIP.
Centauri’s flood coverage can be attached as an endorsement to a new or existing homeowners’ policy and is designed to provide more options for customers and simplify the process.
