Sebiels makes $10,000 donation to United Way of the Midlands Flood Disaster Relief Fund

Columbia, South Carolina – October 14, 2015 – The Seibels Bruce Group, Inc., (Seibels), an insurance services provider of business process outsourcing solutions, is pleased to announce its donation of $10,000 to United Way of the Midlands Flood Disaster Relief Fund. By supporting United Way of the Midlands, Seibels can join in the effort to re-build the Columbia community that has been so negatively impacted by the catastrophic rainfall and flooding that occurred during South Carolina’s declared State of Emergency.

United Way of the Midlands is directing all funds received to local organizations that are assisting those affected by the flooding and will underwrite all administrative costs associated with dispersing these funds. One hundred percent of funds received will go directly towards supporting flood recovery efforts.

“Seibels is proud to be a part of the relief effort that United Way of the Midlands is providing,” said Rex W. Huggins, Chairman and CEO of Seibels. “So many people have been adversely affected by the devastation caused by the flooding, and as an active and longstanding member of the Columbia community, we want to do what we can to help. South Carolina has demonstrated remarkable grace in the wake of this disaster, however recovery efforts are only beginning. I would like to challenge other businesses in the local community to support the cause and be a part of the continuing effort.”

“We appreciate the example that Seibels has set,” said Mac Bennett, President and CEO of United Way of the Midlands. “At United Way, we continue to be impressed by how many organizations around the Midlands are stepping up to meet the needs of the community in the aftermath of the floods.”
